Fire Risk Assessors - Competency Standards
The Fire Risk Assessment Competency Council, which comprises a broad group of relevant stakeholders, emerged with the encouragement of Government to address the issue of defining a competent fire risk assessor.
The Council has now published its standards document and the IFPO have slightly amended its own Fire Risk Assessors Register to be in line with the standards. It is anticipated that these standards will be used by professional bodies and third party certification bodies that register or certificate fire risk assessors and commercial companies that provide fire risk assessment services.
